THE BLACK CROW has been an important player in my work. Strong, protective, and smart. Emblematic of freedom, but drawn to shiny things. Birds can appear most anywhere in these images; sent to form a pattern, check on a room, or rescue a girl's dress. They are my delegates to the worlds I create.

ROOMS built of patterns, shapes, and colors. Places with honesty and predictability. Places that are mine. And always, always, a story.

Twelve 24 inch pictures on canvas, paper and board. With many in this series, I draw on the symbol of birds to ground a vision about nature’s patterns. Pattern to image…image to pattern…which one wins. Invasive circles - almost an affliction. Motion amidst the structure. Sometimes spiritual sometimes internal.
